About the Gallery
Julie Saul Projects is a studio where we represent artists, and carry out consulting and curatorial
projects. Now located in an intimate space in an 1896 office building adjacent to Madison
Square Park, we exclusively represent the work and visual projects of Maira Kalman, artists who
we have worked with historically and new talent as well.
Julie Saul maintained a commercial gallery space in Soho and Chelsea from 1986 to 2019. Our
website records the hundreds of exhibitions we mounted ranging from contemporary work to
historical thematic and solo shows with themes ranging from love and intimacy, the moon, X
Ray, and botanical images to Morton Bartlett, Luigi Ghirri, and Eugene Bellocq.
We will continue to organize and curate shows as pop-ups and also at institutions, as well as
public and private commissions. We are available for consultation on any photographic matter
from building to dismantling private and corporate collections, and everything in-between.
In addition to her activity as a gallerist, Julie Saul has worked as a curator, lecturer and educator
since her move to New York in 1979, and more details can be viewed here.
We welcome calls, visits and enquiries of all descriptions, from our loyal friends and clients, and
new ones as well.
